We love books at Berrings PreSchool Playgroup!
Story time is an important and highly anticipated part of the regular school day. As well as sparking the imagination and natural curiosity of children, reading stories together develops children’s social and communication skills while also allowing them to become familiar with new words, sounds and colours.
Here is a selection of some of our favourite books from the PlaySchool’s library this year. What are your favourite story time books?
Learning never stops! While Berrings Pre School is temporarily closed those at home have been busy putting their arts and crafts skills to good use and showing Sheila how its done! From glitter to cut outs, painting and colouring the creativity of the Playschool’s students knows no bounds - and Sheila could not be more delighted to receive these lovely Easter cards and artworks.
Berrings PreSchool PlayGroup were very excited to welcome local sporting champion Rena Buckley to the playschool for a morning visit.
Rena brought along the O’Duffy Cup to show the playschool children and they were so impressed with Rena that they made her a lovely thank you card - Thank You Rena!
Play dough is a firm favourite at Berrings Pre-School. Colourful and malleable it's great for developing motor skills and concentration as well as challenging the imagination. But most importantly it's all round fun!
We have had a lot of fun and a wonderful play experience this January here at Berrings Pre-School Playgroup. The children have been thrilled with the snow and have being working together to create this handsome snowperson. They had lots of snow ball fights too!
A very special visitor took time out of his busy December schedule to visit the girls and boys at Berrings Pre-School Playgroup!
Santa dropped by to say hello to his old friend Sheila and to remind everybody at Berrings Pre-School to go to bed early on Christmas Eve. And of course, Santa being Santa, didn't come empty handed!
